Regarding the book, I'm still happy with the purchase but want others to know that this series no longer has a CD or a digital copy. (In the past, I appreciated having the textbook at one location and being able to have the digital copy at my home to read).

I have purchased Inside Out for previous Windows systems and they were good. This book misses the mark. It's like Microsoft prevented them from adding information that would help a user understand how to do specific things and some tricks and tips. Also, it doesn't mention much about the forced updates and not being able to block Microsoft from gathering information on the home version used on most laptops. If you just want an understanding of Windows 10, then this may be OK. This book does not live up to it's previous reputation

Not bad for the average Windows 10 user that has basic questions about using Windows 10 vs. Windows 7. Otherwise completely useless for technical questions. You are better off going to the Microsoft help online for real tech problems.This is not a tech manual, it is another version of Windows 10 for Dummies written to sound like you are really doing tech.

Since this book's author is Ed Bott, the publisher Microsoft, and the date of publication well after the public release of Windows 10, I was confident it would prove highly informative - and I am not disappointed. It is very detailed with a helpful Index. I believe it is more representative of the Win 10 OS as released than some competitors who published on the basis of familiarity with a pre-release version. This book is well worth the investment.

When I was called upon to teach the 70-698 curriculum at my local Technical College using this book, Windows 10 Inside Out, I was skeptical.I was skeptical because I've always taught Microsoft Courses out of the MOAC texts, (Microsoft Official Academic Curriculum.)And I've been around the block with good and not-good textbooks for teaching CCNA, VCP-DCV 5 and 6, Server 2003, 2008, and 2012, Windows 7 and more.But this book astonished me with its thoroughness: it was actually embarrassing, and humbling, to encounter so many important things I never knew about Windows.Here's what I recommend: Head on over to your favorite book store and check it out.As for me, prior to this book, my Pantheon of Best IT Writers only included Wendell Odom and Scott Lowe.But now, if the three of us were all chillin at some conference somewhere, I'd be moved to announce to Wendell and Scott: "Move over boys. Make room on this honoured pedestal for Ed Bott, Carl Siechert, and Craig Stinson."It's that good.

I bought both the hard copy and Kindle versions of this book. I highly recommend this book to serious Windows users. Casual users may want to look for a shorter book (this one is nearly 800 pages). Just search for "Windows 10" under Books or Kindle Store.All of the â€œInside Outâ€ books are great. I previously read â€œWindows 8 Inside Outâ€ so I expected â€œWindows 10 Inside Outâ€ to be equally helpful. It most certainly is. I think this book is intended as a desk reference to look up instructions for tasks as needed. Of course, if you know what to search for, you can find most of this information online. But what if you donâ€™t know what to search for? Reading this book cover to cover allowed me to learn about features of Windows 10 that I did not know existed.I wish this book came as a PDF file so I could keep it on my computer and find information using searches. I also wish the bookâ€™s index was bigger. â€œWindows 10 Inside Outâ€ should have addressed Privacy Settings (Settings, Privacy) at the very beginning of the book (instead of page 167), since folks who might object to Windows 10 spying will want to know how to turn it off immediately after initial startup.

The book is a fine treatise on Windows 10. However previous editions of "Inside Out" books for Windows 7 and XP included a PDF file for the book, which was a much more efficient way to search for information than having to thumb through some 800+ pages. A big step backwards.

OK I guess but reads more like a marketing and sales brochure, albeit a very large one. Too much fluff, not enough useful information. Unfortunately like Windows 10, it tries to do everything for everyone and ends up doing most of it in a very mediocre manner. At least it provides the command set for turning off Cortana: gpedit.msc>Computer Configuration>Administrative Templates>Windows Components>Search> Allow Cortana - Disable.This is OK for beginners who don't want to know what is going on under the hood, other users may need to find another reference.

Having read each of Christopher Zeischeggâ€™s previous books, being familiar with his porn career, and his reasons for getting out, I knew roughly what I was getting into- at least in terms of some of the story beats, and how truths and fictions could and would blur through the various vignettes of his life as told in these pages. But still there were shocks and revelations. Moments of sorrow, boredom, desperation, fleeting joys, and absolute absurdities abound as the narration flows at times heartbreakingly confessional and at others detached and observational with Zeischegg writing Danny Wylde as his own personal Sal Paradise observing sex work itself as a Dean Moriarty dragging him along through event after event, all the while a malaise sits atop the entire narrative as what an outsider would revel in as fantasy is shown to be as ultimately unfulfilling as any job. Capitalism, theft of creation, and body horror that only Cronenberg could be comfortable with...The style subverts the substance in a way that makes this unlike any â€œpornstar narrativeâ€ youâ€™ll ever read.

This book has much XXX rated content which normally doesnt attract me, but because it is a brilliantly written, vulnerably rendered, honest, intimate human journey, it was hard to put down.This book takes one through the complexities of the foreign world of a pornographer and beyond, made most interesting because of the relatability of the heart and soul of the author and his personal story.

Chris Zeischegg aka Danny Wylde did it again. I read the book in a day because I couldnâ€™t put it down. I love that one page you reading a story about his life that is realistic, then you turn the page and you are in this alternate reality that is his head.I love the way he writes. He ended a section with a line like â€œ...then I kissed her on the mouth.â€ He could have said I kissed her goodbye, but when you say I kissed her on the mouth you see it differently.I highly recommend this book.

I wanted to like this book, but I couldn't. The writing isn't strong and there's little to no insight. Danny Wylde seems like a cool guy though. I like him, just not this book.

Donâ€™t miss this book! To be honest, I didnâ€™t really know what to expect of this. It was given to me as a gift by a friend who knew I liked â€˜Danny Wyldeâ€™. I hadnâ€™t realized he was now an author. I was surprised then to find I enjoyed this book so much. His stories of the industry are blunt and revealing, while the stories of relationships are honest and sad. But, the stories that are obvious fiction present a dark and intriguing world of horror lurking within Zeischegg that I hope to see much more of in the future.

Awesome book! I couldn't put it down! It's like nothing I've ever read before.

Please be aware that amazon is including reviews and photos for two completely different editions of this Bible on the pages for both editions. The compact blue hardcover edition RSV-CE is ISBN-0195288564. The compact black imitation leather zippered edition RSV-CE is ISBN-019528853X. Take care to SEARCH AMAZON FOR THE ISBN NUMBERS AND NOT FOR THE NAME OF THE BIBLE. I wanted the zippered edition but ordered the hardcover by mistake based on the reviews and photos I saw on the page. If you're interested in the blue hardcover, it's a very nice high quality edition for the price.

This is a delightful little addition to anyone's collection, though it's not as the product description reads. Someone else has pointed that out, however. I ordered this expecting the little zippered pouch Bible and that is exactly what I got. I'm quite happy with it. It's 6.5 inches long, 5 inches wide, and 1.5 inches thick. The zipper is burgundy, like the cover, with a gold metal slider body and Miraculous Medal for the pull. The size fits perfectly with my Kindle Paperwhite and the little organizing tabs don't hinder the zipper at all (if you choose to use those). There's a little bit of finger gymnastics involved with getting the tabs in place after Acts, but if you're careful and use good lighting, placing them is a breeze. The print is a little small for those of us with imperfect eyes, but a pair of magnifying reading glasses from the pharmacy does the trick beautifully.

I bought this after a Catholic priest I meet with for study spoke very highly of it. The translation itself is a very literal and poetic-sounding one. It has a very "King Jamesy" feel to it. The language is NOT updated to be more modern. It lacks the "thees and the thous", but is still a very literal translation and therefore must be read slowly. The print is small but is still very readable. The paper is very high quality and is not the typical "tissue paper" you'd find in most Bibles for this price. It includes all 73 books the Catholic Church accepts as scripture (Protestants accept 66, ommitting 7 from the Old Testament). It also includes a Vatican II document called the "Dogmatic Constitution of Divine Revelation" and various Catholic prayers at the back of the book.The book itself is very high quality, although it takes some time to "break in" as the zippered covers are initially very tight. The binding is sewn which is a huge plus. It feels very solid and I am confident it will hold up for quite a while.

The Ignatius Catholic Bible RSV (Revised Standard Version) in the Compact Zippered format is the best portable bible I've found. Here's why I highly recommend it over other portable/compact versions:- Ideal size: The bible is 5" wide x 6.5" tall x 1" thick... Very easy to carry in a hand, briefcase, purse, or backpack. I love the size because it's neither too large to tote around, nor too small to hold comfortably.- Nice cover/binding: the cover is made of brown stitched leather with a zippered perimeter and a stitched binding that ensures the pages will stay put for a long time. The cover is just thick enough to offer good protection/durability without compromising the portability. The metal zipper feels sufficiently durable and is equipped with a nice metal pull that makes it easy to open and close. An un-zippered version of this bible is also available, but if you plan to carry it in a briefcase, purse, or backpack, I strongly recommend the zippered version to protect the (very thin) pages.- Nice print: the text is small, but crisp and very readable, in a clean-looking serif font. (Of course, if you have poor eyesight, a small-print compact bible is definitely not for you.) The pages are extremely thin to reduce heft, but thick and bright enough that there is very little "bleed through" of the text on the opposite side of each page. To prevent tearing, you will need to handle the pages carefully and avoid writing on them; however, the paper is certainly durable enough to stand up to casual page turning.- Clean format: There are chapter headings and verse numbers, but no embedded footnotes; instead, all explanatory notes are relegated to the end of each (Old/New) Testament section. Only a few brief translation notes appear at the end of each page. This yields a smooth, uncluttered reading experience that I really like. However, this layout would be less than ideal for rigorous bible study/discussion groups and other situations in which the reader might prefer the detail and quicker access of footnotes.- Excellent translation: I think this is the best Catholic-approved translation currently available. It is more accurate than the Douay-Rheims, more traditional- and poetic-sounding than the New American Bible (NAB), and free of the "inclusive language" that mars the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV). Although I still prefer the poetic richness of the Douay-Rheims and King James (KJV) versions, the RSV translation is more accurate (better scholarly standards applied to older, more authoritative manuscripts) and most people will find it much easier to read because it updates obsolete language (thee/ye --> you, etc.). At the same time, it remains much more poetic/traditional than the New American Bible, which has been "modernized" to the point that it sounds too casual to my ear. Also, I have nothing against inclusive language and gender fairness in contemporary society, but I don't believe politically-correct concerns are a sufficient reason to actively modify scripture and distort the real politics of the historical cultures recorded in the bible. There is a difference between translation and revision. I welcome expanded roles for women in the church, but I don't approve of altering Holy Scripture merely to assuage political concerns. Several scholars who worked on the NRSV felt the same way, but they were overruled and forced to adopt the inclusive language.- Great price: Seriously, $20 is a bargain for a portable, nicely-printed, nicely-bound, excellently-translated bible. To qualify for Super Saver Shipping, I recommend also purchasing a set of bible indexing tabs. I bought the "Bible Indexing Tabs Great Adventure" set from Ascension Press for $6.95 and found them perfectly adequate... a full set of color-coded Catholic bible tabs printed on thin but durable adhesive material. The tabs fit inside the zippered enclosure and make it much easier to locate specific books and passages quickly.- Extra features: Besides the Holy Scriptures... the bible includes a series of introductory pages with space for (1) a formal presentation page in case the bible is given as a gift (fill in the names of the giver, recipient, and date); (2) spaces to record of the owner's baptism, first communion, confirmation, and marriage; (3) and spaces to record the "family history": names and birthdates for the owner's parents, siblings, grandparents, children, and grandchildren. After these, you will find a Foreword, an Introduction, and the "Dogmatic Constitution on Divine revelation, Dei Verbum, 18 November 1965." In the very back, you will also find "Prayers and Devotions of The Catholic Faith". Nice!CONS? None really, but this bible would be perfect if it also included a nice ribbon bookmark. Since it doesn't, you'll need to buy or make one of your own. No big deal.[UPDATE 6/4/2012: The only issue I've had with this bible since ordering it months ago and reading it regularly is that the little zipper pull tab has come off three times. Each time, it was fairly easy to loop it back onto the chain link and gently squeeze the link shut with a pliers again. Not a big deal. Other than that, I love this bible. The print is so small it is a little challenging to read in very low light, but that's to be expected from such a compact edition. Add a clip-on reading light and reading it in bed is simple and delightful.]

There's a lot to love about this leather-bound little lovely. The version is the RSV so it doesn't always "line up" with the daily lectionary from the USCCB (NAB) but I actually haven't minded that too much. The Bible is quite compact and I love the fact that I can tuck a few holy cards and my pens into its zip up case. There's not much room for other things... even the Magnificat's slim Advent edition is too big to fit in and zip up. But if you want a compact Bible, this one is perfect for that purpose alone. I wear reading glasses, so the small font size does not bother me. The paper is thin (and gold trimmed), but the pens I selected (Micron pigma 02 black pen and Len Pen neon fine point highlighters) do not bleed through. I find myself reading this Bible at random intervals during the day, since it's so handy and always in my purse. In short, I love it!

I use these for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. They are small enough for a child to hold, and I like the font. It is not too difficult for me to read in this small format. I have wood plates laser engraved for the front and back to make each bible special, and it comes out beautifully, the children really respond. I've ordered several so far and they are all of consistent quality. I'm sure I will order more in the future.

I was excited to receive this book in the mail, but as soon as I opened it, I realized that I had made a $100 mistake.This "book" would be approximately 1/3 of the size if it didn't include pages that were basically repeated. For instance, there is a separate page on how to take a picture of the patient's side profile from both the Left and the Ride side. Instead of 2 pages, this information could have been included on one page and it would simply have to say "repeat for other side."Also, there are no tips/pages on how to take photos of individual teeth, only a full arch.All of the pages have 1 or 2 large photos on them, with little writing.I have found much better tutorials online.

The design print of this book is really excellent and unique. However, the information that you really get from the book are, despite being into the point, can be summarized in only one page. A book of this price should have contained much more information about other factors involved in dental photography rather than only mentioning the camera settings.

This a great stand-up edition that is basically a cookie-cutter organizer for the dental staff that is new to photography. Esthetically this is quite a volume (heavy in weight, well produced), But a bit pricey for what you get.

Good presentation, the content is a bit poor and repetitive, more photography tips are needed, like how to use the diffuser, etc. It's not like I imagined, but it's Okay

PERFECT!! This is the third time I have done summer workbooks and these summer brain quest ones are perfection!! It's just a little bit to keep the brain juices flowing. One or two simple tasks each day. It's not like the ones that try to get your kid to a level where the next school year is pointless. It's not so boring that the kids cry and pack their things and run away to join the circus (*cough* Summer Bridge *cough*). I have three levels and they all match up to grade level very well (the Summer Bridge books were WAY off!). OK, maybe a little on the easy side, but I'm OK with that too avoid frustration over what is supposed to be a fun summer vacation. I just don't want their brains dissolving. The sticker map is fun for all ages - I have one going into 2nd, one into 3rd, and one into 5th. They all appreciate how this book was made to be enjoyable. I think it seems a little silly to my 10 year old, but he is just grateful they're not as awful as previous books. There is much more in here than we need since their summer is only 9 weeks long and I give them the first week of summer off as well as the week we were travelling and weekends. But my little one does extra work just because it's so fun and she wants to complete her map!

The book doesn't have a steady flow from one grade to the next. It all seems like it's just mixed up together in one. I was expecting something going from 4th grade level and morphing into harder work and that's just not the case. For the subjects to be color coded and because I used to use their long question and answer cards when I was little, I expected much more organization to be at hand. We got through the the book pretty okay, but I was just disappointed at how confusing the set up was. Removed two stars because of that. Even though my son finished the book, I wouldn't recommend and I would not buy again.

My kid really did fall for the whole "complete the map" idea at the end of the book. It is a bit challenging for her (she is between 2nd and 3rd grade), but work is presented in a way that incrementally builds up concepts. So, I needed to show her something about multiplication at the first chapter, but she hasn't asked for any help since. It looks like it has mixed subjects that each increase in difficulty as you work your way through in order - which is different from the other BrainQuest books.Because this is heavy paper, the book is too heavy to bring on airplane trips and because of the stickers and maps, you don't want to tear the pages out. So, in summary, my only 'complaint' is that this is too nice of a product to use piecemeal.

This is way too easy for a 4th grader going into 5th. The reading level is 2nd to 3rd grade at best and some of the math is too simple. There are a few fractions, but nothing challenging or thought provoking.

Our two kids love this series of workbooks. First pair of books we got in spring 2017 to use that summer.My only observation is the skipping around options can occasionally be a bit confusing (skipping around is an option for kids to elect what they want to work on by interest, but they eventually cover all aspects of the book).There are times the instructions could use a re-read (even for an adult), but generally these are good for brain stimulation. (Perhaps this observation is because it's been years since I have had to think like a 3rd grader, but really, there are a few times my daughter has asked for assistance with these lower level books K & 1st).The stickers are a GREAT motivator and outdoor activities are great.My wife got these as a summer activity to keep the kids mentally active and not feel like a chore. We both work from home, so I get to see first hand how the kids enjoy these. My daughter is advanced and was going into 3rd grade when we got the 4-5 grade book. She enjoyed it as did our younger daughter with other books in this series.We all like these so much we got another pair of books (to match their intellectual grade levels) for this recent 2018 summer. We usually have the kids do a few pages during the weekdays of summer and occasionally skip a day every 3rd or 4th day. It's easy to go at the pace your child enjoys and my little one (now 6) gets highly motivated once she gets going with these books (and that's the child I wouldn't have expected to want to do these as much.WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I got this as a gift for my 10 year old niece (for her July birthday), and she's entering 5th grade this year. She's pretty smart for her age, a reading level Z, and she adores math. Ava likes to get gifts that she can open and use right away, so this was great for her.It has a fold-up tear-out map in the back that you use to mark your progress- along with stickers for each page you complete and special stickers for answering extra questions on some pages- and she just loves that part! She loves finishing a page and then putting the sticker on her map. It covers most of the schooling subjects, and brings in some cool ones like archeology and Pirates. It's a really great way to keep kids learning, or remembering what they've learned, through the summer. Or anytime, if you have a kid that likes activity books. It does have an answer key in the back of the book :)Some of them are a little difficult to understand what they're supposed to do, so I deducted a star for that. She definitely needed an adults help for some of them. I don't think a fourth grader could complete this totally on their own.I hope this is helpful!

The workbook curriculum is excellent, but the binding is awful! I purchased a second workbook after the first workbook started falling apart and papers falling out, and the second one seemed fine till 2 days in and it once again started falling apart. In my opinion most 10 year olds will not be able to keep all of these loose papers together all summer long, especially if they go back and forth in two households. I'm discouraged with the quality of this item.
